Our Mission

To create experiences for the queer community and their allies with proceeds benefiting local organizations who support the health, wellness and quality of life for the LGBTQIA+ community in the Heartland of America.

How We Do It

Heartland Queer Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. We sponsor fundraising events that support essential LGBTQIA+ services through proceeds generate from events produced by our organization.

Why We Do It

Established in 2021, HQP was the vision of a group of friends who sought to create unique queer experiences, to build community within the diverse Heartland LGBTQIA+ populace and support organizations that align with our mission.

We are a small group of unpaid volunteers who enjoy partying with purpose.

OUR BENEFICIARIES

  • AIDS Service Foundation Kansas City

For more than 30 years, the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City has been committed to eliminating the stigma, suffering, and spread of HIV/AIDS. As a leader in the fight against this disease, the Foundation provides educational and financial resources to four local organizations that directly support the more than 5,700 men, women, and children in Kansas City affected by HIV/AIDS.

  • Trevor Project

Two decades ago, we responded to a health crisis. Now we’re building a safer, more-inclusive world.
